NISH AT THE WALL

Nish is newer to Maine (by way of NYC) and just started to sink her teeth into modeling. Per usual, our connection came from sliding into the DMs and sharing a love of creativity, slow fashion, and personal style. Once we chatted through all of the conceivable topics, it was a no-brainer that Nish was the perfect fit to join our crew as a model.

After our first shoot together, I asked Nish to describe her style and thoughts on slow fashion. Here’s how she responded:

I chose to describe my fashion as a combination of simple, comfortable, and esthetic. I like an outfit that’s easy to jump into or out of because I’m literally on the run always! Most of the time I’ll be seen in athleisure, but I like to think of basic jeans and t-shirts for my casual look.

Slow fashion reduces the environmental impact of fast fashion by promoting the use of sustainable processes and material, which reduces waste and helps supporting local production instead. Also, slow fashion pieces are usually made by hand, which consume more time to produce, use artistic talent, and usually have better quality. Kayte’s company represents all of these beautiful qualities and more.
